For a team of designers I made a short feasibility study of using satellite imagery for conopy area percentage estimation in urban areas. Report included references to scientific papers, and other projects with similar aim, and available tools. Part of the study was hands-on demonstration of one of the techniques using Google Earth Engine on dataset for urban areas of the city of Barcelona.
